Sustrans favourite coastal bike rides with fish and chips
During a sunny cycle or blustery bike ride along the coast there really is nothing better than tucking into a traditional fish and chip supper on the beach. But with over 11,000 miles of UK coast to explore where should you go?
Sustrans have asked their teams from around the UK for their favourite chippies on some of the fantastic coastal routes on the National Cycle Network.
Why not check out the Fylde Fish Bar in Southport which is on National Route 62. This year’s winner of the best fish and chip shop in the North West region, Fylde fish and chips is a family friendly restaurant at the end of the Trans Pennine Trail. So why not celebrate your ride with a traditional fish supper and Fylde’s homemade mushy peas – gluten-free options available!
