SP Energy Networks – New Online Distributed Generation Heat Maps

To improve the service and experience we provide to customers thinking of installing a new generator (such as solar panels or wind turbines) to our electricity network, buy  we’ve recently launched an improved online Distributed Generation (DG) Heat Maps application.

This industry leading application will provide our DG customers with a better understanding of potential opportunities to connect their generator to the electricity network before seeking a formal connection offer.  Click the image for a larger view.

The Heat Maps application has been developed in response to customer feedback received as part of the Incentive on Connections Engagement (ICE). Introduced by Ofgem in 2015, prescription ICE encourages all Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to improve customer service by engaging and responding to the needs of a broad range of connections customers.

This is a significant step forward in helping us ensure that our customers have greater visibility of our networks and I’d encourage you to take a look at the new application which can be accessed on our website via this link.
