Southport Flower Show 2015
Southport Flower Show is a four day celebration of the very best in garden design, arts and crafts, shopping, family entertainment and food.
The theme for this year’s show is ‘China’ with oriental styles being reflected across all aspects of the event.
A black tie curtain raiser
The show begins with an evening of fine dining the night before the show opens on the 20th August.
The Gala Preview Evening will see more than 250 guests gather to enjoy a champagne reception, silver service dinner, entertainment and a sneak preview of the show before it opens to the public.
Guests will also get the chance to meet celebrities attending the show including celebrity chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Tickets are priced £70 each and include a day ticket to the show.
Sherrie Hewson will open the show on Thursday 20th August and there will be a host of celebrity appearances over the four days, from TV gardeners Joe Swift and Christine Walkden to celebrity chefs Jeremy Pang and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Music and entertainment
Live music will be a key element of the show with the bandstand featuring performances from male voice choirs, brass bands, swing bands and singers.
At the centre of the showground will be a purpose built arena boasting a range of spectacular entertainment including flying birds of prey, dog displays and circus acts, including the Vander Quad Wheel of Death.
Pop up shopping village
The four day event features “a pop up shopping village,” with over 350 stalls offering everything from art and crafts to items for the home and garden.
The food shopping element of the show will also offer a host of exhibitors from wine suppliers to specialist food outlets.
Southport Flower Show has its own Food Village where visitors will have the opportunity to try delicious delights from some of the region’s finest food producers.
As part of the Food Festival there is a cooking theatre sponsored by in-toto Kitchens where celebrity chefs and professional chefs display their skills in live cookery demonstrations.
This year the show will see celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli bring his award-winning culinary talents to the food village.
The multiple Michelin star French chef will be holding his own show cookery demonstrations and will be touring the show to meet visitors.
Jean-Christophe said: “I’m so excited to be making my first visit to the Southport Flower Show and I look forward to showing visitors how they can prepare fine French food for themselves.”
As well as launching an international restaurant empire, Jean-Christophe is known for his successful career as a TV presenter which took off after an appearance as a head chef on Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen.
For gardening lovers
From inspirational show gardens to breathtaking flower displays, Southport Flower Show offers visitors the chance to see the work of some of the best landscapers and designers in the North West.
Visitors can tour the gardens and an array of exhibits in the Amateur Growers and Grand Floral Marquees. The show also boasts hundreds of stalls offering gardening equipment and unique plant and flower varieties.
Celebrity gardeners will be on hand to offer tips and advice to visitors to the show, with Q&Q sessions with everyone from Channel 4’s ‘Landscape Man’ Matthew Wilson, Joe Swift of BBC Gardeners’ World, Jim Buttress, expert on BBC 2’s Big Allotment Challenge and Christine Walkden, the BBC One Show resident gardening expert.
Day tickets for the show cost just £18 if bought in advance , a 20% saving on the gate price and children under the age of 16 go free.

Some special experiences:
On Friday 21st August there will be a special Ladies Day, sponsored by Renacres Hospital.
The day will begin with a sparkling reception at 11am, sponsored by Wongs Jewellers, followed by a two course lunch. You can then sit back and enjoy the glamorous fashion show organised by The Wardrobe Boutique in Southport and entertainment.
Tickets are priced at £50 each and places are limited. Your ticket also includes entry into the show.
A VIP experience
Why not enjoy the show with a VIP Experience? This package gives visitors showground parking, Pimm’s on arrival, tea and coffee throughout, a three course lunch with a complimentary bar and to round off the day a delicious afternoon tea. You also receive a show programme to plan your day.
