Shake-up September & Active Workplace Awards
Following the success of Team GB’s sports stars, illness Merseyside Sports Partnership are launching a new Workplace Challenge campaign to encourage your employees to try new sports and physical activities.
Shake up September challenges people to try at least five Olympic/Paralympic sports during the month of September – this could include sports such as tennis, cycling and swimming as well as less common ones such as wheelchair basketball, canoeing and trampolining.
By signing up, employees will be able to download a bingo card, with prizes on offer for those who tick sports off their bingo card! Who can be the first in your organisation to declare bingo first?

We also have table tennis, golf, volleyball and badminton equipment that Merseyside Sports Partnership can lend you – so you can create Olympic sport competitions within your own workplace!
Rally the troops and get in to the Olympic spirit – employees can join in by registering a free account via www.workplacechallenge.org.uk
We’re also accepting nominations for our Active Workplace Award
Our annual Merseyside Sporting Champions Dinner celebrates the county’s sporting talent, as well as the people who make sport and physical activity happen here on Merseyside. It also raises much-needed money to fund bursaries for the county’s future sporting stars.
We are proud to announce that for the first time we will be holding an award for the ‘Active Workplace of the Year’. The award will be presented to an organisation which demonstrate innovation and commitment in improving the health and wellbeing of employees through physical activity initiatives.
You can nominate your organisation for free by visiting http://www.merseysidesport.com/active-workplace-award-nomination-form and completing the short form by Friday 21st October. I’ve also attached a PDF with the questions on to view at a glance.
