Nature to Nurture set to open it’s first outdoor nursery in Merseyside

Nature to Nurture will open it’s doors in September 2014 as Merseyside’s 1st Outdoor Nursery.

Having set up in 2012 to provide woodland play programmes for children, families and educational services, it felt like a natural progression to set up an Outdoor Nursery.

Their aim is to deliver a curriculum that encompasses the Scandinavian model of Forest School and the Early Years Foundation Stage, coupled with the Steiner Waldorf model, which looks to educate the heart and hands as well as the head. They want children to embark on a journey of discovery by being given the opportunity to participate in experiential hands on learning. They also believe that the outdoors helps engender the capacity for joyful learning and that free play in a natural environment supports children’s inborn desire to learn. There is lots of research that highlights how the outdoors improves Health and Wellbeing, and they know the difference it has already made to the many families who attend their parent & toddler programmes.

Other future plans include further development with local farms and Myerscough college to enhance the educational programmes they deliver.

If you are interested in enrolling your child with a free place at Nature to Nurture, call 07815976241 or email naturetonurture@hotmail.co.uk www.naturetonurture.co.uk
