Liverpool Sport and Physical Activity Awards 2018

Nominations are open! But hurry as they need to be in by Monday 22nd January!

There are 11 categories this year – recognising the Physical Activity and Sport activity during 2017!

Lifetime Achiever: This award is for those who have dedicated over 35 years to a local club or sporting association in more than one role including a committee position.

Club of the Year: This award will recognise the club which has made the most progress in 2017 in the areas of member involvement, marketing, competition and community engagement.

Coach of the Year: This award is for the Coach who has committed his or her time to guide their team/club to greater development and success.

Volunteer of the Year: This award is for those who have demonstrated substantial commitment to a club or sporting association in an unpaid role over the past 12 months.

Young Athlete of the Year: This award if for the young person who has achieved the greatest success on a regional/ national level. Nominees must be between 9 and 18.

Young Volunteer of the Year: This award is for those who have demonstrated substantial commitment to a club or sporting association in an unpaid role over the past 12 months and be between 9 and 18 years of age.

Active Achiever: This award is for an individual age 18+, who has improved their health and wellbeing by increasing their physical activity levels in 2017 e.g. an individual who has made lifestyle changes to build in regular activity as part of their daily life.

Young Active Achiever: This award is for an individual age 5-18 years, who has improved their health and wellbeing by increasing their physical activity levels. E.g. an individual who has made lifestyle changes to build in regular activity as part of their daily life.

Active Workplace: This award is for a workplace/employer that has improved, or provided opportunities for staff to access more physical activity and/or sport, and can demonstrate a positive impact e.g. on health, wellbeing, productivity, absenteeism etc.

Active Community: This award is for an individual, or group of individuals, who have had significant impact on the lives of others within their community or user group, through promotion and/or provision of physical activity and/or sport e.g. improved health and wellbeing, community cohesion, inclusion, social opportunities, reduced isolation etc.

Physical Activity Provider of the Year: This award is for a physical activity and/or sport provider that has had a significant impact on the lives of others, helping and supporting others to engage in physical activity and/or sport to improve quality of life e.g. improved health and wellbeing, community cohesion, inclusion, social opportunities, reduced isolation etc.
