Get out and about this Autumn!
We all know the wider health benefits of cycling and walking, for both our physical and mental health, and this is the perfect time of the year to get out of the office and make the most of the shortening days.
Most of us live too far from work to walk the whole way but we still need to walk to the bus stop or the station; go out at lunchtime for a sandwich or to do some shopping – even just to escape from the office for half an hour! In fact why not join a netwalk like those organised by the Liverpool BID.
Not everyone is able to cycle all the way to work but often cycle to the station. With schemes like citybike and Merseyrail Bike and Go, starting and finishing your journey by bike or cycling to a meeting can be a quick and easy way to get to your destination!
Or maybe you are travelling to a job interview or training opportunity?
Whatever the reason you are out and about cycling and walking, we would love you to take a photograph and share your experience with us. To be eligible the photograph must have been taken in the Liverpool City Region this Autumn (2017) and reflect some part of your working day – after that we want you to use your imagination! We have amazing parks, coastal views and countryside as well as an iconic urban landscape. Or you might prefer a quirky image which reflects the spirit of the city region?
We are offering £100 shopping voucher for the winning photograph and the two runners up will receive a £50 voucher. We will also feature a selection of the best images in our winter edition of the Chamber Magazine.
To enter the competition please post your photograph on Twitter with the hashtag #GetOutThere17 and tag us @LpoolChamber
If you do not have access to a Twitter account, please feel free to send us your entries to email@example.com with your name and where the photo was taken. We will then post your image onto Twitter for everyone to see and appreciate!
You can enter up to a maximum of 3 photographs.
The competition ends on 17 November 2017 and winners will be announced w/c 27 November 2017.
This project is supported by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Cycling and Walking to Work Fund.
