Energy Projects Plus are looking for a LEAP Project Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our LEAP Team and make a difference to the lives of vulnerable fuel poor people across Merseyside and Cheshire.
You will be the central contact for all activity and use your organisation and communication skills to their fullest to ensure the smooth running of a challenging programme of home visits, measures installations and referrals to external partners. Read on for “A Day in the Life” of our Project Assistant and submit your application before 5pm on 21 July:
“My day starts at 9am. My first task is to catch up with referrals into our scheme that have come in during the previous day. I log all of these onto our client database. I’ll then phone the clients. During the conversation with the client, I check their eligibility for our home visit service and then aim to book a time and date that suits them. I have to take things like the likely length of the visit and travel time to visits into account when organising the Assessors diaries. Once the visit is booked, I log it on to our online system and add it to the Assessors diary.
Once all the referrals are actioned, I’ll look at the paperwork that the Assessors have returned and update the database. I log any actions that are required for clients and I’ll pick up any outstanding referrals to partners. This includes looking for grant funding for heating measures and insulation.
During the day, I’ll take calls and queries from clients and referral partners and provide them with updates on their cases. I also keep in contact with the Assessors while they are out on their visits.
I have to be really organised. There are a lot of things to juggle and its really important that the records are all up to date and that I keep on top of client cases to make sure they get the support they need.
I really enjoy the people aspect of the role, working with partner agencies and building relationships. The best part is helping people, moving their case forward and seeing them get a new boiler or extra income that will make a real difference to their lives.”
