Bike Week 2017

Bike Week is an annual opportunity to promote cycling, and show how cycling can easily be part of everyday life by encouraging ‘everyday cycling for everyone’.

Demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether this be for fun, as a means of getting around to work or school, the local shops or just to visit friends. The 2017 event will take place 10-18th June.

As the biggest nationwide cycling event in the UK, Bike Week encourages over half a million people to join in events, rethink their everyday journeys and switch to cycling as the most convenient way to get around. There are hundreds of events planned for 2017.

Cycle to Work Day returns on 14th September. This annual event encourages everyone in the UK and Ireland to take to two wheels, and cycle to work for just one day. Previous Cycle to Work Days saw tens of thousands of commuters hit the streets on the day and cycling over a million miles. Hundreds of employers have also supported the day, from start-ups to large organisations.

Pledge to take part in the day and you’ll be automatically entered to win 1 of 3 Merida bikes, plus goodies from Showers Pass, Muc-Off, Brompton and more.

Pledge now to ride on Cycle to Work Day:

If your organisation has any plans to take part in either Bike Week or Cycle to Work Day please contact and we can feature on Gather!
